Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is the daughter of a mixed-race family from South London in England. Her father is a Nigerian-Swiss, as is her mom who's English. Her family was on the south London Council Estate. She was a student at The Brit School aged 14. At the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she earned an acting BA. While attending the school and performing in numerous stage plays, including the King Henry V as Princess Katherine and Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started acting in Storm Damage. In the years since, she's had appearances as a guest for Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film role was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), with Colin Farrell. After this success, Madekwe played Elisha in the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and appeared on six of the episodes Trexx and Flipside. The year 2008 saw her was offered the part of Bambi in The ITV2 drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl, appearing in episodes two and three. Madekwe also played the main character on How to lose friends & betray people, which was released by Sony Pictures Entertainment back in the year 2008. Her theatre credits include Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe had her official US debut on the Drama series The Beautiful Life, which just aired two episodes for The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport, a character on ABC's Revenge drama series, was cast as Ashley Davenport. The show premiered in May 2013 and it was announced that Madekwe who had been a series regular in the past two seasons, was to leave the series after a guest-appearance in the premier episode of the new season. From 2014 to 2016she appeared in Salem in the role of Tituba. Her long-time friend, Iddo, married Madekwe in June of 2012. Together, they worked on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. He also played with Madekwe in Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress that was nominated two times for the Gemini Award, is a member of a large Hamilton family. Her parents, Roy and Patty along with the four brothers of her, Brett, Todd, and Bram and Bram, were present. Ashley's athletic brothers played baseball during summers and hockey in the winter. Ashley did not walk; instead, she danced. In the age of two and half, she found Baby Ballet. This was the beginning of Ashley's passion for dance. Ashley performed in competitive ballet, jazz and tap in high divisions. Every major dance festivals, like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance which have awarded her the title "top individualist".
